What sort of system do I need to run Virtual RadiographyTM ?

The recommended operating system for virtual radiographyTM is Microsoft Windows 7. The application is 32bit but it can be installed on either 32bit or 64bit versions of Windows 7. It has been tested and found to work correctly on Windows XP and Windows Vista. At the present time, these are the only supported operating systems.

The key hardware component for virtual radiographyTM is the graphics processor or GPU. Any recent PC running a supported operating system will be suitable as long as it contains a suitable graphics card. Please checkout the list of tested graphics cards

How do I install virtual radiographyTM ?

You will need to obtain a copy of the installer from our download page and run it on the target machine.

Inorder for the software to run, you must have a valid licence installed. Please see the Licensing section of this FAQ

 

How do I get upgrades ?

As upgrades are released they will be made available via the download page. They will be announced in the News and Events section and in the Shaderware RSS feed.

 

Can I install the software on a network drive ?

Theoretical it would be possible but as the CT data used to generate the radiograph must be accessed each time an exposure is made, it would significantly impact response times.

 

How do I set my own site specific defaults for ProjectionVRTM ?

Some aspects of ProjectionVR's default behaviour can be amended to better suit an individual custome. User customization is discussed in the ProjectionVR User User Guide. This is installed with the software and can be accessed from the Start menu. It is also available from the download page
